I know putting a post full of quotes about veganism and compassion together runs the risk of instigating a little eye-rolling from some quarters, but I genuinely love them.
So much so that I collect them in all manner of places: They have been gathered from books, interviews, radio, online, and just about everywhere else in between. Some are long, some are short. What better place to put them all than on here, right?
This way, you get to enjoy them too, and you can even add your own in the comment section at the bottom of the post. Similarly, there are quotes from non-vegans here as well, and there may well be people who were once vegan who are no longer. I find my own life hard enough to keep track of, so please cut me a little slack.
To reiterate, these quotes are NOT necessarily from vegans, but they are generally words of compassion that we can all draw something from. Feel free to email me or drop me a line in the comment box below and I will, of course, amend any errors I have made.

There is no justification in indulging in such acts of brutality. Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to a man. We know that if someone offers to show us a film on how our meat is produced, it will be a horror film.
